| Description |
Nederlands: Het monument bevindt zich op de begraafplaats De Beukenhof, Burgemeester van Haarenlaan, 1450, 3100 AE Schiedam. Het monument bestaat uit 10 bronzen plaquettes, op 7 van hen, zijn stilistische personen en namen te zien. De onderste 3: Links een wereldbol met de landen die in oorlog waren, er om heen zijn palmtakken en daaronder enkele woorden. Midden de tekst: Gedenk in Uw gedachten, dat zij hun leven gaven, en ver van hun verwanten, in den vreemden zijn begraven. Rechts: o.a. een ster met kroon, 2 wapens en enkele woorden. De linker en rechter bronzen zijn de emblemen van de Indië- en Koreagangers. De bronzen plaquettes zijn bevestigd op een muur "De muur der stilte" met reliëf in 4 kantige stenen.
