English: The Henry Miller House in Wausau, Wisconsin is one of the best preserved Queen Anne style houses in central Wisconsin. It is a George Barber design #128, and was built at 1210 Grand Ave in 1894 by local builder John Drisko. It features stained glass windows, ornate gingerbread gables, Eastlake detailing, and a polygon turret. After suffering from heat stroke during the house's construction, Drisko hung himself and the building was then completed by his widow. It was then sold to Henry Miller, who served as a county judge, State Assemblyman, and local retail store owner. After Miller's death in 1920, the house was sold to John Sell, former Wausau Mayor and sheriff. After Sell's death, the house was used as a boarding house from about 1960 until the late 1970's, when it became derelict. It was saved from demolition and moved to to its current location at 1314 Grand Ave in 1981, when it was restored and used as offices, its most notable tenants being Natural Concepts and Remax Realty. In 1982 it was listed on the National Register of Historic Places. In 2019, the building was purchased by Kristin and Adam Doede, who converted it back to a single family residence and are restoring the house to its original grandeur.
