The Creole Socialite and special railroad agent Baron Randolph Natili was paid $25,000 a year salary at the time of his death and was the highest-paid station agent in the United States. A salary close to 1 million dollars adjusted for 2024 inflation. He was the cousin of Giuseppe Ferrata's wife Alice and close confident of the Italian American composer.
