Description
English: The residence of American songwriter and composer Henry Clay Work at 5317 Dorchester Avenue, Hyde Park, an active neighborhood in southern Chicago. Work oversaw the construction of his home, a humble and inconspicuous cottage, sometime around 1860—a year after he purchased a plot of land in the newly established Chicagoan community.
