English: The isolated Henllan Amgoed Church is dedicated to Dewi Sant (St David's)and was also known in former times as Llanddewi Henllan (The Old Church of Dewi). Amgoed (Around the Wood) is the name of the old commote. A church has stood on this spot since the c13 at least. Circa 1865 the old church was demolished and a new place of worship built in its place. Due to it being a small, sparsely populated parish the congregation had dwindled over the years and it was forced to close, sadly, sometime during the early years of this decade. In 2010 the church was sold. What strikes a person when visiting the church is the relatively few gravestones that can be seen within its large churchyard.
