English: Scroll of the Night Attack on the Sanjō Palace, part 7. During the Heiji Rebellion (Heiji no ran), the Minamoto clan tried to stage a coup d'etat and fought against their rivals: the Taira clan. This scroll depicts the attack of the Palace that leads to the capture of the Emperor by the Minamoto. The Minamoto warriors ultimately manage to surround the Emperor Go-Shirakawa.
