Translation of original caption: Fig. 8. Sexually mature Distomum macrostomum. The large suckers make up one third of the entire body of the animal; the yolk stalks lie exclusively in the side fields between the intestine and the body wall; only the end sections of the intestine are visible due to the strongly filled uterine loops; the sexual organs are located in the posterior part of the body, as well as the mouths of the same at the posterior end of the body; cf. Fig. 22.Deutsch: Fig. 8. Geschlechtsreifes Distomum macrostomum. Die grossen Saugnäpfe machen ein Drittel des gesammten Tierkörpers aus; die Dotterstöcke liegen ausschliesslich in den Seitenfeldern zwischen Darm und Körperwand; von dem Darme sind infolge der stark gefüllten Uterusschlingen nur die Endabschnitte sichtbar; die Geschlechtsorgane sind im hinteren Körperabschnitt, sowie die Ausmündungsstellen derselben am hinteren Körperende gelegen; cf.
