English: Hawkshead Methodist Chapel. This is in the corner, with only the porch and the round-headed window showing from The Square. It was converted from a 15C cottage in 1862 (it must have been practically rebuilt if the cottage really was that old). On the right is The Minstrels' Gallery, formerly Crown Mitre Cottage, built in the 17C. To the left is Chapel Cottage, two 17C or early 18C houses made into one. C17 or early C18. The first floor is jettied out over Flag Street, as is that of the house opposite.
