English: Gloucester - Chalford auto-train near Haresfield.
The 0-4-2T No. 1409 (built 10/32 as 4809, renumbered 11/46, withdrawn 10/63)will head the train up the Golden Valley to Chalford, then return pushing it, with the Driver seated in what is here the back. This service ran about a dozen times each weekday, four times on Sundays (p.m.), calling at all the many Halts - but not at Haresfield, which was only on the parallel Midland line: it ceased from 2/11/64.
