English: This is an oscillogram of the voltages in a simple half-wave rectifier circuit with a smoothing capacitor. The circuit consisted of a diode, a 33 µF capacitor and a 10 kΩ resistor with a signal generator as input. The input signal (yellow) is a 5V sinusoidal signal at 60 Hz.
