Description
Deutsch: Hagelberg, Sockel des früheren Borussia-Denkmals von 1848/49 (von August Julius Streichenberg). Das Dorf Hagelberg ist ein Ortsteil der Kreisstadt Belzig im Landkreis Potsdam-Mittelmark und liegt im Naturpark Hoher Fläming. Der namengebende Hagelberg ist mit 200 Metern (Angabe laut neuem Gipfelkreuz 2006 201 Meter - aufgerundet von exakt 200,24 Metern) der höchste Berg des Fläming. Zwei Denkmäler erinnern an die Schlacht bei Hagelberg von 1813 in den Befreiungskriegen Preußens gegen Frankreich.
English: Hagelberg, pedestal of the former Borussia monument, built in 1848/49. The village Hagelberg is a part of the town Belzig in the district Potsdam Mittelmark, state Brandenburg, Germany. The village appertains to the nature park Naturpark Hoher Fläming. The eponymous Hagelberg (hill) is with a height of total 200 meters the highest elevation in the Fläming. There are two monuments commemorating to the prussian victory in the „Battle nearby Hagelberg“ in 1813 against Napoleon.
