Summary

Author
Nicholas Condy, (1793–1857); Garnier
Description
English: N. Condy painted this scene in 1832. Original title: H.M.S. Malabar leaving harbour, Captain Sir W. Montagu. This is a partial detail (cropping) of a degraded photo (copy) of a lithograph of the original painting. The painting has been lost and is not available to copy. The photo is poor quality, out of focus, taken at an offset angle of the lithograph, and distorted. The lithograph is under glass, which shows flash. The paintings whereabouts are unknown. This is the only image anywhere of this ship and or this painting, and is purely representational.
