Summary

AWM Caption: Portsmouth, England. c. 1919. J4, one of six J Class submarines transferred from the British Navy to the Australian Navy on 25 March 1919 and arriving in Australia on 10 July 1919. All were sold in 1924 except J3 which was sold in 1926 and J7 in 1929. (Donor Imperial War Museum SP187)
