Significance The badge incorporates a "V" in reference to the Victoria class of submarines. The golden waves flowing on either side are a reference to the Corner Brook River. The black field represents the depths at which the vessel operates, while the Viking helmet recalls the importance of the discovery of Newfoundland by these famous seafaring warriors. | ||||||||
