Summary

Description
English: Proto-duction

Rapid “Proto-duction” is an ability to effectively transition technology concepts through application to test article to unit fielding, yielding a new system with tactical application. Strata-G has extensive expertise in Rapid Proto-duction. This rapid proto-duction capabilities coupled with our FasTrack process can rapidly and seamlessly be utilized to support aviation development projects/programs. Rapid proto-duction expertise could effectively replace the term “streamlined acquisition” as we live Rapid Response on a daily basis. The key to future aviation development Proto-duction support lies with:

1. Building a team from various agencies from government and industry that are focused on building the best product for the soldier,

2. Developing a plan with controlled risk based on concurrent integration and concurrent program events, and

3. Reducing risk with design, fabrication, and installation based on a wealth of rapid prototyping experience and initiatives, combined team testing, PM acceptance of additional costs for design improvements and redesign issues, bold production decision points based on comprehensive long lead schedules, trade off analysis during all points in the program and concurrent production efforts.

Proto-duction is a new and unique process developed in support of the US Army Prototype Integration Facility (PIF) at Redstone Arsenal in Alabama by the Engineers of Strata-G Solutions, Inc, a small aviation engineering, prototype development and manufacturing company. The combat effect of Proto-duction is dramatic. The Proto-duction rapid prototype development process, integrated with production, supports combat units in the field by providing the ability to move military hardware from unit-level need to in-field reality within months, not years.
