Français : Devant le Centre Leonardo da Vinci, à Montréal, se dresse une statue en bronze d'un gladiateur. Il sagit d'une copie d'une sculpture réalisée en 1922 par Giuseppe Guastalla (1867-1952) pour un monument aux morts de la guerre installé à Pietrabbondante, une commune de la région de Molise en Italie. Elle représente un guerrier samnite.
Sur la plaque est gravé : « Le guerrier samnite, symbole d'union des molisans dans le monde, emblème de fraternité entre les peuples. »
English: In front of the Leonardo da Vinci Centre in Montreal stands a bronze statue of a gladiator. It is a copy of a sculpture made in 1922 by Giuseppe Guastalla (1867-1952) for a monument to the war dead installed in Pietrabbondante, a municipality in the Molise region of Italy. It depicts a Samnite warrior. On the plaque is engraved: "The Samnite warrior, symbol of union of the Molisans in the world, emblem of fraternity between peoples.
