English: Granville O. Haller, noted Indian fighter and U.S. Army military officer, later a wealthy businessman in the Seattle, Washington, area. During the American Civil War, he was charged with the defense of south-central Pennsylvania during the early days of Gettysburg Campaign prior to the arrival of the Army of the Potomac.
Engraving appears to be based on this picture taken in 1886 in Denver.
