Graham–Ginestra House in Rockford (1857). Freeman Graham, Sr. built the first sour mash distillery in Illinois. He also co-owned the Rockford Cotton Mills. He built his house halfway between the two institutions. Upon his death, his business interests were split among his sons and his house was bequeathed to his daughter Julia. She lived in the house with husband Henry S. Warner until 1927. Leo Ginestra came from Sicily and settled in the house because the surrounding area was becoming an Italian community. He lived there until his death in 1978.
