This graceful Italian marble statue of the Sacred Heart of Jesus blessing us all stands in front of a cross with the initials IHS which is a Greek Christogram, a shortened form of the holy name of Jesus used in the centuries following His Resurrection. These initials IHS were later understood as Latin initials for IESUS HOMINEM SALVATOR, Jesus Savior of All. The two angels kneel in adoration and praise.
The statue was first at the gravesite site of Gladys Presley at Forest Hill Cemetery and moved to Graceland's meditation garden on June 1, 1982. June is the month dedicated to the Sacred a Heart of Jesus.
