Summary

Description
English: Goswick railway station (site), Northumberland
Opened in 1870 as "Windmill Hill" by the North Eastern Railway, this station became "Goswick" in 1898. It temporarily closed to passengers 1941-1946, and then permanently in 1958. It closed to goods traffic in 1964. View north west towards Scremerston and Berwick. The southbound platform to the far right of the image has gone, but the station house to the left was still extant as a private residence when this image was taken. The former northbound platform and signal box were both behind the camera position.
