DescriptionGort railway station, County Galway (geograph 6347962).jpg
English: Gort railway station, County Galway
Opened in 1869 by the Athenry & Ennis Junction Railway, later part of the Great Southern and Western Railway, on the line from Athenry to Limerick. This station closed to passengers in 1976 and completely in 1982. It was rebuilt 150m to the north east and reopened in 2010 as part of the Western Corridor rail project.
View south west towards Tubber and Limerick. The original station buildings have been retained beyond the footbridge but do not appear to be part of the reopened station.
