Description Lot-9212-30: WWI-German Activities. This medal was struck in Germany to commemorate the glorious exploit of the German Navy in deliberately sinking an unarmed passenger ship, the Lusitania, and taking the lives of 1,198 innocent passengers, men, women, and children.
