Italiano: Nato a Ponte a Ema il 18 luglio 1914 e morto a Firenze il 5 maggio 2000, Gino Bartali è stato un ciclista su strada e dirigente sportivo. Professionista dal 1934 al 1954; nel 2013 è stato dichiarato giusto tra le nazioni per la sua attività a favore degli Ebrei durante la seconda guerra mondiale. Il Giro d'Italia 1946, ventinovesima edizione della "Corsa Rosa", si svolse in diciassette tappe dal 15 giugno al 7 luglio 1946, per un percorso totale di 3039 km. Fu vinto da Gino Bartali.

English: Born in Ponte a Ema on 18 July 1914 and died in Florence on 5 May 2000, Gino Bartali was a road cyclist and sports manager. He was a professional from 1934 to 1954; In 2013 he was declared Righteous Among the Nations for his work on behalf of the Jews during World War II. The 1946 Giro d'Italia, the twenty-ninth edition of the "Corsa Rosa", took place in seventeen stages from 15 June to 7 July 1946, for a total route of 3039 km. It was won by Gino Bartali.
