English: Giant squid (Architeuthis dux) exhibited at Museo Alborania in Málaga, Spain. This specimen was found washed up on a beach near Fuengirola, Andalusia, in 1997 or 1998 (sources differ). It was the first record of this species from the Mediterranean Sea. It is an immature female with a mantle length of around 1.25 m and is preserved in formaldehyde.
