English: 110922-N-GH121-118 RED SEA (Sept. 22, 2011) A German Marine Lynx helicopter departs after refueling aboard amphibious dock landing ship USS Whidbey Island (LSD 41) in the Red Sea. Whidbey Island is deployed as part of the Bataan Amphibious Ready Group, supporting maritime security operations and theater security cooperation efforts in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of responsibility.
