Summary

Description

Kleindenkmal Nr. 31 (Gerchsheim): Denkmal für zwölf im Jahre 1866 gefallene Krieger. Das Denkmal befindet sich im Friedhof Gerchsheim. Es besteht aus einer konischen Säule (Pyramide). Auf dem oberen Teil ist ein Kreuz, davor eine Laterne. Auf dem unteren Teil steht der Gedenktext, unten befinden sind zwei Palmenzweige. Inschrift: Zu Ehren der am 25. Juli 1866 gefallenen 12 Württ. Krieger (siehe hierzu das Gefecht bei Gerchsheim). Die Kreuze, die vor dem Kriegerdenkmal auf dem Boden eingelassen sind, sind zu Ehren der im 2. Weltkrieg gefallenen Soldaten der Gemeinde Gerchsheim.
