(74.3 × 55.2 cm) MARKS: Signed and dated upper right: "Alex. Cabanel. 1883" GALLERY LABEL: The subject, the younger daughter of George Lee Schuyler and Eliza (Hamilton) Schuyler, was a life member of The New-York Historical Society from 1916. Her portrait, painted in 1883 when she was in Paris with her father, is typical of the French academic portrait of the 1880s. CREDIT LINE:
