English: General Steel Industries' administration building, located at 1417 State Street, Granite City, Illinois, was originally built by Commonwealth Steel Company and completed in 1926. In 1929, the building was acquired by General Steel Castings Corp. (became General Steel Industries, Inc. in 1961) and became the company's headquarters in 1948. The building was sold to Granite City Steel in 1974.
