Summary

Description Portrait of General Gerard Gosselin (1769–1859) by Matthias Finucane (d.1810). he was the father of Christiana Fairman nee Gosselin (1798–1873), and grandfather of artist Frances C. Fairman. The image is tentatively dated to 1810 because Gosselin became General in that year - although the youthful appearance suggests an 18th century date.
