Deutsch: Gedenktafel Kaiserkeller, Hamburg, "An einem Tag des Jahres 1960 kletterten fünf junge Musiker aus Liverpool auf die damals noch kleine und wacklige Bühne hier, im Kaiserkeller, auf der Großen Freiheit. Es waren die bald danach als Beatles weltberühmt gewordenen Pete Best, George Harrison, John Lennon, Paul McCartney und Stuart Sutcliffe. Sutcliffe starb 1962, und im selben Jahr nahm Ringo Starr die Stelle von Pete Best ein. Über die Stationen TOP-TEN und STARCLUB schafften die Beatles den Start zu ihrer unvergleichlichen Karriere.
Die Tafel wurde am 23. Februar 1990 enthüllt anläßlich einer Party hier im Haus zur Erinnerung an das erste Auftreten der Gruppe vor 30 Jahren an dieser Stelle."
