Description
English: View of Gay Street's 500 block from Krutch Park in Knoxville, Tennessee, USA. The tan building on the left is the S&W Cafeteria (516-518 S. Gay St.), built in 1936. The red building in the middle (520 S. Gay St.) is known as the "Athletic House" (after a store that once occupied it), built in 1923. The off-white building to the right of the Athletic House building is the former Central House Hotel (522 S. Gay St.), built in 1875. This latter building was home to WROL studios in the 1930s.
