English: Gateshead station on the Tyne and Wear Metro. The view from the east end of Platform 1, from Metrocar No. 4089 bound for South Hylton. At the top of the picture the reflection of the new London Undergound-style strip map can be seen - these only appear above the doors on the trains. Due to their linear nature, they are unable to portray the fact that the Yellow Line loops back to cross itself at Monument station, instead showing it twice.
