Description
English: The drawing shows the type specimen of Gastrochilus dasypogon (Sm.) Kuntze (Basionym: Aerides dasypogon Sm). Buchanan-Hamilton himself named it Epidendrum umbellatum, but Smith described it as Aerides dasypogon in Rees' Cyclopædia in 1818.
