Summary

Description
English: This illustration for the article Strake shows a cross-section of the bottom of a wooden boat, with garboard strakes, keel, frame, and keelson clearly labeled. It is based on but different from a similar illustration available to the public through the University of South Florida's Educational Technology Clearinghouse at http://etc.usf.edu/clipart/63500/63528/63528_strake.htm, which itself is a scan-and-clean-up of a long-expired drawing in the public domain. USF ETC allows the use of up to fifty (50) of their clipart illustrations for nonprofit educational purposes without written permission.
Date

Other information

Both USF's ETC and Farlex, Inc. have their own scanned versions of this illustration available online. Mine is not the same as either of these (both of which, incidentally, omit identification of the keelson in the illustration).
