English: Galloways cross compount stationary steam engine. This is in Textile Mill Engine gallery, at the Museum of Science & Industry (MOSI) in Manchester. It was built in 1926 by W & J Galloway of Manchester and installed at Elm Street Mill, Burnley - " SD8433 : Elm Street Mill, Burnley. It is a cross compound extraction engine with oil hydraulic valve gear and a uniflow low-pressure cylinder
