English: The NRHP-listed former Gallatin School building on Gallatin Avenue in Uniontown, Pennsylvania, as seen in October 2020. A Neoclassical structure dating to 1908, Gallatin was built as a neighborhood grammar school serving the middle-class community of northeast Uniontown at a time when the increasing importance of the local coal and coke industry was leading to rapid population growth. A rear addition to the building was constructed in 1927. The school remained in service for its original purpose until the early 1980s and has since been converted to apartments.
