Summary

Description
English: The town mansion of the Gale family of Whitehaven. Built 1710 by William Feryes, married to Mehetabel Gale. The propert passe to his wife's family. On , corner Duke Street and Scotch Street. Used as a twon hall after 1850, firstly for Harbour Commissioners, then the Corporation of Whitehaven from 1894.
