Description
English: NOAA's GOES 16 satellite captured this satellite image of the September equinox this is when the Sun's Zenith crosses over the equator southwards which means it is the beginning of Autumn (Fall) in the northern hemisphere and the beginning of Spring in the southern hemisphere. (Note: This image was taken about 1 hour after the official equinox).
