Summary

Description

St Faith's Church, Hexton, Hertfordshire (<a href="http://www.britishlistedbuildings.co.uk/en-163012-church-of-st-faith-church-of-england-hex" rel="nofollow">Grade II*</a>). The north and west sides of the tower collapsed in 1947, so a new bell enclosure was built in the base of the tower in 1959. In 1961, thieves stripped the roof of its lead, so the nave became damp and was seldom used, so worship took place in the chancel. Restoration started in 1994, and the nave is now known as St. Faith’s Community Centre.

GOC Hertfordshire's walk on 8 August 2015, in and around Hexton in Hertfordshire, Barton-le-Clay and Pegsdon in Bedfordshire, and the surrounding hills.
