The committee for the United Bible Societies' Greek New Testament at one point of time consisted of Kurt Aland, Matthew Black, Bruce Metzger, Allen Paul Wikgren and Carlo Maria Martini. The picture shows them involved in discussions dealing with textual variants in the Greek New Testament. Also notice that on the blackboard, the manuscripts with their short-hand notation are depicted against the letters A, B, C and D for a reading.
