Summary

Description
English: Built ca. 1766, this house gained fame during the Civil War because it was owned by a general in the Confederate Army, General Samuel Gibbs French. Though born in Mullica Hill, New Jersey, he chose to fight on the side of the Confederacy. This house is located at 136 South Broad Street. General French is mentioned several times in Wikipedia articles - particularly one on Mullica Hill, but there are no pictures.
