Description
English: THE PIEDMONT HOTEL STARTED IN 1873 BY ALVAH SMITH. BY 1875 FINANCIAL DIFFICULTIES FORCED SMITH TO BRING IN GENERAL LONGSTREET WHO EVENTUALLY OWNED THE HOTEL COMPLETELY. IT ORIGINALLY WAS MUCH BIGGER THAN THE STRUCTURE PRESENT TODAY
