Built in July 1970 (as per the date on it), it carries half-erased inscriptions apparently glorifying the victory ofthe Cultural Revolution. Both slogans on the opposite sides of the bridge are arranged to run in the same geographical direction, making one of them run from right to left and the other, from left to right,
