Description
English: Universally Recommended Instructions for Zazen. Zen Master Dogen, the founder of the Soto sect, returned to Japan after completing his training in Song in 1227. In addition, a book that selects and describes Zen mysteries. This volume, was handed down to Eiheiji, in the Tenpuku-era 6 years after he returned to Japan. It was written by the Zen master himself in the first year (1233). From the attached donation letter and the inscription on the outer box, Kaei. It is known that it was donated to Eiheiji Temple by Kohitsu Ryosa around 1852. Size is 28.8 cm long and 318.7 cm long. Designated as a national treasure on March 29, 1952.

曹洞宗の開祖である道元禅師が、宋での修業を終えて帰国した嘉禄 3 年(1227) に、禅の奥儀を選んで記述した書。永平寺に伝わる本巻は、帰国から 6 年後の天福 元年(1233)に禅師が自ら書いたものである。添付の寄進状と外箱の銘から、嘉永 5 年(1852)頃に古筆了伴によって永平寺に寄進されたことがわかっている。寸法

は縦28.8cm、全長318.7cm。昭和27 年3 月29 日に国宝に指定。
