Summary

Description
English: The Italian frigate Espero (F 576) passing through the opened Ponte Girevole (or formally, the Ponte di San Francesco di Paola), in Taranto, Italy. The bridge is a distinctive, unusual type of swing bridge. It was built in 1958, retaining the disinctive design of its 1887-built predecessor, but constructed of different materials.
