Deutsch: Friedrich 'Fritz' Geisshardt, I.(J)/LG 2 (= I. Gruppe (Jagd) / Lehrgeschwader 2). Links unterhalb der Führerkanzel einer Messerschmitt Bf 109 E-3 das Verbandsabzeichen/Wappen der I. Gruppe des LG 2, ca. Mitte 1941.
  • Friedrich Geisshardt, Sonnefeld/Ofr.: geb. 22. Januar 1919, (+)gef. 6. April 1943, im Alter von 24 Jahren u. 2,4 Monaten. -
  • Die I. (J) Gruppe des Lehrgeschwaders 2 wurde am 6. Januar 1942 zur I./JG 77 (I. Gruppe des Jagdgeschwaders 77) umbenannt. Die Gruppe lag zu diesem Zeitpunkt in Mariupol und unterstand dem Stab des Jagdgeschwaders 77. Ausgerüstet war sie mit der Messerschmitt Bf 109 E. Die 1. Staffel verlegte an diesem 6. Januar nach Mizil und kehrte am 21. Januar nach Mariupol zurück, um von hier aus am gleichen Tag zusammen mit der gesamten Gruppe nach Stalino zu verlegen. Von hier aus flog die Gruppe Einsätze über dem Einsatzraum der 17. Armee im Donezgebiet. Ab Ende Februar wurde die Gruppe nach und nach von der die Bf 109 E auf die Bf 109 F-4 umgerüstet.
