A: Free standing tin boxlike roasting frame. 4 legs (1 3/4" H) riveted to corners. Half barrel shaped hinged lid w/ rectangular chimney (2 7/8"L, 1 3/4"W, 5/8"H) on top. Horizontal row of 4 circles (5/8" dia) pierced along bottom of front & back wall; 3 pierced along side walls. Upper edge of side walls notched to take roaster axle. Handle riveted below side walls. "20" stamped on lid above front latch. B: Cylindrical tin roaster (7"L, 3 3/4" dia), w/ sliding door. Square opening (2 3/8" x 1 3/4"). Tin strip fastened lengthwise inside roaster to agitate beans as they roast. Double L-shaped iron axle sets through center of roaster. Protrudes 2" at one end, crank shaft at opposite end w/ turned wooden handle (4 ¾"L) 5/8" W brass ferrule on handle. C: Free standing wrought iron grate. 4 parallel iron bare riveted to 2 crosswise bars the ends of which bend at right angles forming 1 ¾"H legs.; Condition: Tin surface pitted. Iron grate pitted & flaking. A: # engraved behind right front leg. B: # endraved along shaft near cylinder. C: # engraved on outside of one leg.
