Commissioned by King Christian VIII of Denmark, who died in 1848.
Aquired by King Frederik VII and passed on to countess Louise Danner.
At countess Danner's estate auction in 1874 bought by the merchant M. Sachs for 128 RD.
Sold at Bruun Rasmussen, Vejle on May 7, 2007 for DKK 75,000 (EUR 10,000). Lot 110/106.
