Summary
| Description | Frederick IX bridge at Nykobing Falster between the islands of Falster and Lolland in south Denmark. View under bascules in raised position. Yellow railings of gantry along underside of bascules may be seen tipped over. Also yellow driveshaft and gearbox which takes power from shaft to the back of the counterweights. The shaft is driven through the centre of the bascule bearings. Taken by contributor, July 2006. |
