DescriptionFosdick Field, Buffalo, New York - 20200125.jpg
English: As seen in January 2020, the block directly in front of City Honors High School, bounded by Fosdick Avenue, East North Street, Michigan Avenue, and Best Street, was originally the site of the Frederick Law Olmsted-designed Masten Park, used by the school as a sports field and outdoor recreation area. A public housing development was built on the site in 1977, and upon its demolition in 2013 the newly-dubbed "Fosdick Field" became the subject of a fervent local campaign aimed at preserving the green space in much the same state as it had been before 1977. To that end, the site was registered as a local landmark in 2016. Fundraising for the field's full restoration is ongoing.
